Creative Youth Theater's Goal:
To provide a safe learning environment for kids to learn and grow in their communication  and expression  skills through the medium of drama while working with a "team"  (kids their own age - no adults in the play) putting on  a three-act play.   Our focus is on a student's experience, not the drama production.....although we put on wonderful plays our audiences love !!!   To do this, the director, Christie Miller,  writes most of the plays or rewrites plays so that each participant has a definite character with lines and a part in the play that is important.   We don't do plays with just a few important characters and then many insignificant secondary parts.    Each play is written and re-written so that most of the parts are fairly equal.
